Sometimes there are no specific examples available in the APA Publication Manual for the resource you are using (e.g. course packs), so we have provided our best interpretation of the rules. According to the APA Publication Manual, 7th edition (2020), "The purpose of a reference list entry is to provide readers with the details they will need to perform a search themselves if necessary, not to replicate the path the author of the work personally used" (p. 296).
