The last item in that list - citations - will require the most of your attention. You must document - cite - all the sources (articles, books, websites, videos...) you learn and borrow from when writing your paper. And different kinds of sources need to be described in different ways.
Each citation appears in two places in your paper: Once, in brief format, in the body of your paper - these are called in-text citations - and once, in more detail, at the end of your paper - these are called references.
