Tana Kristjanson, Accounting

Biography:

Tana M. Kristjanson, BRS, CPA, CA, CFE is a Master of Education student (SFU). Ms. Kristjanson teaches in the accounting department and developed a fraud awareness course for Camosun College. She has also taught accounting at NIC; VIU (formerly Malaspina College); in the Certified Management Accounting program; and the Chartered Accountant School of Business. Her personal interests include hiking, travelling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Tana and Sheila Elworthy, a former Camosun instructor, authored both the first and second editions of Accounting a text used in ACCT 110 & 111.

The second edition of Accounting is designed for Canadian colleges to be used for the two courses in Introductory Accounting. It focuses on the changing needs of accounting students and their instructors by utilizing feedback from student reviews, an Editorial Advisory Board, and external reviewers. The textbook features a learn-by-doing approach to accounting supported by Example Exercises, Mid-Chapter Illustrative Problems and plenty of exercises and problems.
