Biography:

Kari Jones is an instructor in the Department of English at Camosun College. Her job is to teach students good reading and writing skills, but also try to teach them to enjoy it and to see how reading and writing can add joy to their lives. As well as teaching, Kari writes books for kids, including “Out of Season” which has been translated into five languages. Her most recent kid’s story, “So Much for Democracy” will come out in Spring 2014.

She is determined to protect the sea otters, even if it means checking on them for the rest of her life.
