Biography:
Dianne is from the Tsilhqot'in Nation and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in a First Nations partnership post-secondary institution (SFU and Secwepemc Cultural Education Centre) located in Kamloops, BC. For the past twenty years, she has worked in many First Nation territories across the province and has operated her own consulting business since 1997, specializing in project management, facilitation, event management, and cultural awareness training. She’s worked in the following industry areas: arts and culture, tourism, entrepreneurship, and community development. In giving back to Aboriginal community, she volunteers proposal writing and project administration expertise to community led initiatives and special projects.
Dianne has been employed with Camosun College since January 2009 in various capacities, as an Indigenous instructor, Indigenization Coordinator, Educational Facilitator and Team Leader for Indigenous Business Leadership. She enthusiastically worked with Marla on the pilot project and have also supported Computer Science students in their professional development through the ANCESTOR project.
