These policies and guidelines ensures that students who reserve the podcasting studio are aware of their responsibilities and the conditions for using the space.
By reserving the podcasting studio, the student agrees to the following:
Studio Use: The studio is to be used solely for audio recordings, video, photography or related activities as indicated in the reservation form.
Arrival Time: Arrive at the studio on time.
Studio Cleanliness: The student is responsible for leaving the studio in the same condition it was found, including cleaning up after use (e.g., wiping down surfaces, putting equipment back in place, and disposing of any trash).
Food & Drink: No food is permitted in the studio. Drinks must be covered and not placed on table where there is equipment or on the floor near cables or power
Equipment Care: Treat all equipment with care. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the staff immediately.
Noise Levels: Be mindful of the noise level to avoid disturbing others. If there are other reservations close to your time, be respectful of their space and work.
No Unauthorized Use: The student agrees not to use the studio for any activities beyond intended purpose of the space, such as audio, video and photography projects unless previously agreed upon with staff.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or change your reservation, please notify the studio at least 24 hours in advance to allow others the opportunity to reserve the space.
Late Cancellation or No-Show: Failure to show up for your reservation without prior notice may result in the loss of future reservation privileges or a penalty.
Damages: Any damage or loss of equipment or property due to negligence or misuse by the student will result in the student being held responsible for repair or replacement costs.
Any damage to equipment during your booking will be the responsibility of the person who booked the room to replace or repair.
Final Responsibility: The student agrees to pay for any damages caused during their reservation.
Complete Orientation and Acknowledgement: Podcast Studio Orientation must be completed before the room is booked
The door must be locked, and keys/access card must be returned to the library front desk after each booking.
Access Authorization: The student agrees to follow any security protocols in place for accessing the studio and will not share their access credentials with anyone else.
Supervision: If the student needs assistance during their reservation, they will contact the designated staff member or follow the studio's protocol for support.
The studio reserves the right to terminate a reservation if the student is found in violation of any of the terms of this agreement, including but not limited to disruptive behavior, failure to adhere to the rules, or misuse of equipment.
