Biography:
April Atkins has been employed by Camosun College since 1993. She is currently working in the South Island Partnership admitting high school students taking Dual Credit programs and courses. April is a member with Toastmasters International attending the Interurban club, First Canadian Toastmasters. She received her recognition as a Distinguished Toastmaster in 2013. On the weekends she volunteers at the British Columbia Museum as a tour guide with Behind the Scenes. In her free time she loves to paint with acrylic paints on canvas. She became inspired with a painting technique introduced in a documentary called “Tim’s Vermeer”, using a mirror to help with shading and accuracy of painting. |
