HIST: History

WDL is a project of the U.S. Library of Congress, carried out with the support of UNESCO, and in cooperation with libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, and international organizations from around the world. The WDL provides significant primary materials from all countries and cultures with the goals of promoting international and intercultural understanding and expanding the volume and variety of cultural content available online.

The Digital Archive contains once-secret documents from governments all across the globe, uncovering new sources and providing fresh insights into the history of international relations and diplomacy. The Digital Archive is overseen by the Wilson Center's History and Public Policy Program and focuses on the interrelated histories of the Cold War, Korea, and Nuclear Proliferation.

A collection of public domain and copy-permitted historical texts presented cleanly for educational use from Fordham University. Provides documents associated with Western civilization, Byzantine, Islamic, Jewish, Indian, East Asian, and African history, women's history and LGBT studies.
