Use the limiters in Single Search to find physical books. The Call No. is a code that indicates where to find a book on the shelf.

  • use broader or fewer search terms than you would when searching for articles
  • start with 2-3 keywords
  • make note of related subjects or phrases

For example, a keyword search in Single Search for "ecology" retrieves >1,000,000 results! 789 of these are print books. Try adding other keywords or phrases, such as:

  • human ecology
  • animal ecology
  • urban ecology
  • human geography
  • population biology
  • restoration ecology
