Bills

Bills (E-2.4 in the McGill guide)

  • Use the long title of the bill
  • For the number, add C- before bills originating in the House of Commons; use S- for bills originating in the Senate
  • Subdivisions of bills are clauses: abbreviate to cl or cls for plural
  • Additional information may be the date of first reading, assented date, etc. 
Format

Bill#, Title of Bill, session, legislature, jurisdiction, year, pinpoint (additional information).
