ENGL 251 Advanced Communication

ENGL 251 builds upon the critical writing and reading skills acquired in first-year English courses and is especially relevant to students in sciences and technologies. Students will practice advanced research skills, literature reviews, executive summaries, formal report writing, oral reporting, and various technical and/or professional writing document styles. Students will also learn to revise and edit their work for maximum effect.

Feasibility Studies

Feasibility studies help answer the essential question, “should we proceed with the proposed idea?”  Feasibility studies help determine:
a) does the company possess the required resources or technologies; and
b) does the proposal offer a reasonable return vs. risk from the investment.

for example: “Is this a viable business venture?”

By contrast the business plan provides a planning function, which outlines the actions needed to take the proposal from “idea” to “reality.”
