Information about the upcoming Canadian Federal Election

A federal election is being held, Monday, April 28, 2025

Who can vote?

To register and vote in a federal election, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen.
  • Be at least 18 years old on election day.
  • Prove your identity and address.


Register to vote: 2 ways to register

Not sure if you are already registered? Check to see if you are registered to vote, register, or update your address using the Elections Canada Online Voter Registration Service.

Register before you go to vote:

Register when you go to vote:

  • At your assigned polling station on advance polling days, Friday to Monday, April 18, 19, 20, 21.
  • At any Elections Canada office across the country, by Tuesday, April 22.
  • At your assigned polling station on election day, Monday, April 28.

Vote! When and where you can vote

There are a number of ways to vote in the election. You can vote:

  • On Election day, Monday, April 28, 7 am to 7 pm.*
  • On campus at Camosun, Lansdowne Library and Interurban Hubert Hall Classroom 111:
    • Sunday, April 13, 12 pm to 6 pm.
    • Monday to Wednesday, April 14, 15, 16, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • On advance polling days, Friday to Monday, April 18, 19, 20, 21 from 9 am to 9 pm.
  • By Tuesday, April 22, 6 pm at any Elections Canada office.
  • By mail by Tuesday, April 22, 6 pm
