We seek knowledge in these territories

Camosun College respectfully acknowledges that our campuses are situated on the territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Kosapsum) and WSÁNEĆ peoples. We honour their knowledge and welcome to all students who seek education here.

This guide provides information, research and links to help you research the different themes studied in ENGL 163 courses.

What is a Citation?

A citation is a listing of a book, journal article, web document or other document in such a way that the user can identify it and find it. They are found in:

  • Online databases, such as Academic Search Complete or CBCA Complete
  • As References in a journal article or a book

Students regularly create citations when they provide a bibliography (also referred to as a Works Cited or References list) for a research essay.
