Association of Fundraising Professionals - Library information

This guide will help you locate the material that AFP has donated to the Camosun Library, as well as locate other relevant material in the Library collection.

Welcome and thanks!

organization logo Many thanks to the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Vancouver Island Chapter for their continuing support of the Camosun College Library. This guide is meant to help you locate both the books the AFP has donated to the library over the years, as well as introduce you to material within our own collection that may be of interest to you. For example, the Featured Books box on this page includes both donated titles and regular loan material.

Collection refresh 2023

A Spring renewal project by Jody Kitts, Director, Advancement and Alumni Engagement and Librarian Margie Clarke saw a great refresh of the the AFP library collections at both Lansdowne and Interurban. New material is arriving on a weekly basis! Please come and see what's new.
For a start, check out a few of the new titles featured in the carousel below. And if you haven't borrowed from the College Library before, now is the time to get your Community Borrower card. See the tab "Borrowing from the library" in this guide

Locating fundraising materials in the catalog

The collection of materials donated by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Vancouver Island Chapter is primarily housed at the Interurban campus. If we have duplicate copies, one will be at the Lansdowne Library. To view the list of titles in this collection you can search "Association of Fundraising Professionals" in the library catalogue; you should retrieve over 80 records.

Try also searching by these subject terms to locate other relevant material in our collection:

  • "corporate reputation"
  • "fund raising" or fundraising
  • "event planning"
  • "event marketing"
  • "public relations"
  • "social marketing"
  • "nonprofit organizations"
  • voluntarism
  • charities
  • "proposal writing in business"
  • "proposal writing for grants"

Catalogue Search

A library catalogue search includes all books -- print and e-books -- in the library's collection. Off campus, e-books will only be available to Camosun staff and students (login required) however, they would be available to view on campus.
