Course Accessibility: Teaching Students who are Blind

Early notice

CAL will reach out to you as the course instructor and department Chair when it becomes known that a student intends to register/is registered in the course.

This initiates a collaborative working relationship toward ensuring an accessible experience for the student and supports for the course instructor around processes and responsibilities and potentially any additional resources that may be needed.

This relationship is important since adaptations to materials for accessibility can take some time to plan and implement.

Our goal is that these students receive the same experience of receiving materials and experiences as any other student.
